I disagree with Contra Mundum and I beleive so does the priest whose wife was kidnapped and so do the relatives of all those who were kidnapped and murdered. I wonder if he would have been so eager to celebrate Nativity if it was his wife or daughter that was kidnapped and forced to convert.
Personally I am in no mood for celebration with so many Copts suffering and I am waiting eagerly to see the Pope’s reaction to all of this, unfortunately he represents the only leadership we have and this places certain responsibilities upon his shoulder especially towards those who are least fortunate.
If we are ever going to get our rights then we must expect to work hard for it and if this is another age of martyrdom then let it come, may it be the last step of the Coptic fight for freedom.
