في أرض الماساي



مشينا عدة أميال من حدود تنزانيا عَبْرَ جنوب كينيا متَّجهين إلى إحدى قرى قبيلة الماساي التي كنا سنعرض لهم فيها فيلم ”يسوع“. ويوجد نحو 400 ألف من هؤلاء القوم السود الطوال القامة يطوفون الغابة الريفية في تنزانيا وجنوب كينيا. وهم يرعون ماشيتهم في تلك المنطقة منذ عدة قرون، ولم تُسفِر مجهودات الإرساليات طوال خمسين سنة إلاَّ عن نتائج شحيحة جداً، ثم تشجَّع أحدهم كان قد آمن وتعمَّد واسمه ”ستيف (أي اسطفانوس) دودوجيان“ مع آخرين وساعدونا في مهمتنا. وعلمنا من ”ستيف“ أن الرب أنقذه من موت محتَّم في فيتنام بعد أن أطلقوا الرصاص على رأسه، ولكنه عاش بعد أن قضى في المستشفى سنة كاملة، وهو يشعر أن الرب حفظه لهذه الرسالة: أن يساعد في تعرُّف قبيلة الماساي على الله.

جئنا إلى قرية اسمها ”نامانجا“ على حدود تنزانيا، وهي موطن للمهرِّبين واللصوص والعاهرات، ولكننا رأينا مئات يُعبِّرون عن رغبتهم في اتِّباع المسيح بعد أن شاهدوا حياته على الشاشة. وقد سألتُ ”ستيف“ عن كيفية بدء عمله مع قبيلة الماساي، فقال لي إن ذلك كان بواسطة ”ماتايو (أي متَّى)“ الذي كان أحد المحاربين الماساي ثم صار مسيحياً منذ عهدٍ قريب. فسألته: ”كيف وجد المسيح“؟ فقال: ”بينما كان يصطاد أسوداً مع صديقه، هجم أسد على صديقه، فقتله ماتايو بحربته بعد أن كاد يفتك بصديقه، ثم حمله إلى مستشفى إحدى الإرساليات. وهناك توفي صديقه بعد قليل، ولكن ماتايو تعرَّف على المسيح من المُرسلين وقرَّر أن يصير مسيحياً. ولما عاد إلى قبيلته اعتبروه بطلاً لقتله للأسد، ولكن بمجرد أن علموا أنه صار مسيحياً تغيَّر كل شيء، فقد اضطهدوه حتى جعلوا حياته غير محتملة“!

”ثم غادر ماتايو قريته، وقابلناه منذ بضعة شهور، وقد بدأ من ذلك الحين يتنقَّل من قرية إلى أخرى وهو يُكلِّم شعبه عن المسيح. ويُعتبر أهالي القرية التي نحن ذاهبون إليها الآن من إحدى ثمار شهادته للمسيح. وهو لا يخاف، فمنذ شهور قليلة كان يتكلَّم مع عرَّاف، ثم غضب العرَّاف منه وحاول أن يطرده من القرية، ولكن ماتايو وقف ثابتاً وأخبر العرَّاف أن قدرة يسوع أقوى من كل سحره. فلما سمع العرَّاف ذلك سقط على الأرض وهو يرتعش، ثم نهض وطلب من ماتايو أن يعود في الغد ليتحدث معه. وقد خاف البعض عليه لئلا يقتله العرَّاف بإحدى تعاويذه، ولكنه قال إنه إذا مات فسيكون ذلك من أجل الرب“.

”وفي اليوم التالي لما رجع ماتايو إلى كوخ العرَّاف دُهش عندما وجده ممتلئاً بالناس الذين طلبوا منه أن يُكلِّمهم. فكلِّمهم عن حب الله وموت المسيح من أجل خطاياهم، بينما كان العرَّاف جالساً وهو صامت. ثم نهض وقال إنه سيتكلَّم الآن، وقال: "بالأمس، عندما تكلَّم هذا الرجل عن يسوع، حدث لي شيء: فكأن صليباً كبيراً خرج من السماء واخترق جسدي ونظَّفني من كل ما هو رديء فيَّ. ويجب أن أُخبركم أنني الآن تابعٌ للمسيح، وأنَّ كل واحد منكم سيكون كذلك"... وكوخ العرَّاف هو الذي يتقابل فيه المسيحيون الآن“!

”إنني أحب شعور الله اللطيف... فقد زُرنا ـ ماتايو وأنا ـ هذه القرية معاً منذ عدة أسابيع، وأخبرونا أن هذه هي أول مرة يسمحون فيها لرجل أبيض بالدخول عندهم. تذكَّر، يا بول، أن هذه القرية هي معسكر محاربي قبيلة الماساي حيث يوجد أكثرهم وحشية، وأنها كانت متوترة قبل ذلك. ولذلك فقد تعجَّبتُ من استقبالهم لنا عندما ذهبنا إليهم وشكرتُ الله على نجاح هذه المخاطرة. وهكذا اقتنعتُ أن تسليم حياتي للمسيح معناه تدبيره لها“!

”قرأتُ في الإنجيل قوله: «ليس أحد وهو يتجنَّد يرتبك بأعمال هذه الحياة لكي يُرضي مَن جنَّده» (2تي 4:2). وكنتُ أُخطِّط أن أشغل نفسي ما أمكن في الأعمال الدنيوية، ولكن «كما استُحسنَّا من الله أن نؤتمن على الإنجيل، هكذا نتكلَّم لا كأننا نُرضي الناس بل الله الذي يختبر قلوبنا» (1تس 4:2). ثم بدأتُ أتعجَّب من قساوة قلبي نحو الروحيات وصوت الله! وقد صارعتُ مع شكوكي وشهواتي وكأنها لحم ودم، وهل سأسمع صوته لو كلَّمني مرةً أخرى، وإن لم أتَّجه إلى السير نحوه الآن فهل سيوجد لي وقت آخر“؟

”ولما احتدم الصراع في داخلي، انطرحتُ على ركبتيَّ وصرختُ: "يا أبي، أعلم أنك موجود في حياتي لأنني بحثتُ عنك في طفولتي، ولكنني كنتُ متمرِّداً. لا أريد أن أجلس خارج السياج بعد ذلك، فاغفر لي وأعنِّي على الرجوع عن خطيتي، فأريد أن أكون طاهراً ومقدَّساً أمامك"“!

”ولكنني كنتُ أعلم أنني لا زلتُ متباعداً ومن الصعب أن أنطلق، ولكنني كنتُ أرغب في ذلك. فصلَّيتُ: "يا رب، اطَّلع على حياتي، سأذهب إلى أي مكان، فافعل أي شيء تريده مني"! وبعد هذا الكلام الهادئ مع الله، شعرتُ أن ما كان يُثقل كاهلي قد انهار، وتنفَّستُ الصعداء ونمت كطفل يشعر بالأمان في وجود أبيه“!

”وبعد سنوات قليلة وجدتُ نفسي في أفريقيا مع "ستيف دودوجيان" ذاهبَيْن إلى معسكر للمحاربين الماساي لنعرض لهم بلغتهم فيلم ”يسوع“ الذي يُغيِّر الحياة. وما كنتُ أحلم إطلاقاً بالحرية التي حصلتُ عليها بعد أن سلَّمتُ حياتي للرب وتخلَّيتُ عن كبريائي! وقد كافأني الرب بما تطلَّعتُ إليه وهو: حياة لها هدف. وصرتُ أعيش في أعظم مغامرة كنتُ أتصورها“!

”وفجأة توقَّف ستيف وكان جسمه متوتراً متصلِّباً، ولم أُصدِّق عينيَّ، فلم يظهر حينئذ أي واحد من المحاربين الماساي شبه المتوحشين. وقبل أن نتحرك أحاط بنا أكثر من عشرين من المواطنين ذوي النظرات الحادة، وكلٌّ منهم قابض على حربة مُسنَّنة حادَّة بطريقة تهديدية. فناديتُ: "ستيف"! فقال: "اصمت. كُنْ هادئاً"“!

رماح المحاربين




حاملو الحراب من غابات أفريفيا

لم أستطع أن أتحكَّم في ضربات قلبي، ولم أُقدِّر واقع الحـال عندما نظــرتُ إلى عيـون الذيـن حــولي. ثم تحادثـوا مـع بعضـهم ربما عمَّا يفعلوه بنا. وتطلعتُ إلى ستيف مترجياً أن يكون قد فهم ما يقولون، ولكنه هزَّ كتفيه، ولما تمكنَّا من رؤية رئيسهم أعرب ستيف عن أن كل شيء سيكون على ما يُرام.

شعرتُ أن قبيلة الماساي الملتفة حولي لم يتغيَّر فيها شيء منذ مئات السنين. وكانت وجوههم ضاربة إلى الحُمرة، والحراب التي كانوا يحملونها كانت هي نفسها التي اعتاد جدودهم أن يقتلوا بها الأسود ويتخلَّصوا من أعدائهم الذين كانوا يهاجمون أراضيهم. وكانت شعورهم الطويلة السوداء مضفورة ويغطِّيها الطين، ومنقوشة على جباههم وأقفية (جمع قفا) أعناقهم أعواد كالعِصِي. وهم يغطُّون عُريهم ببطاطين باهتة منسوجة بطريقة بدائية تلتف حول أكتافهم. وحول معصم اليد وقصبة الرجل أطواق معدنية أو خشبية.

إنهم شعب طويل القامة، ورغم أنهم يحملون الحراب والسكاكين إلاَّ أن يسوع يحبهم! وكنتُ أتساءل عما يدور في أذهانهم، وتذكَّرتُ قصصاً عديدة عن مبشرين ماتوا في مثل هذه الظروف. ولم نستطع، ستيف وأنا، أن نخبرهم أن رئيسهم طلب منا أن نأتي، ولكننا استطعنا أن نمشي ببطء نحو قريتهم، وترجينا ألاَّ يؤذونا. وبعد دقائق وجدنا أنفسنا في طرف مكان يحوي نحو تسعين كوخاً، وكانت بينها فروع شجر مليئة بالأشواك لتحمي ماشيتهم من الوحوش. وقد سُمح لنا أن نقابل رئيسهم الذي أوضح للآخرين أننا أصدقاء، فرحبوا بنا بحرارة. ثم أثارهم منظر العربة الجيب التي كانت تحمل جهاز عرض الفيلم وبقية الفريق بمن فيهم "جيم جرين" مبشِّر أفريقيا المحنَّك.

بدأنا العمل بسرعة، فنصبنا الشاشة وجهاز العرض في وسط منطقة الأكواخ...

كان الليل حاراً جداً عندما أعددنا كل شيء، ورغم الحشرات الكثيرة الطائرة، فلم يهتم الناس المجتمعون فقد كانوا منجذبين إلى الصور المتحركة. لقد كان هذا الشعب المتخلِّف منذ آلاف السنين يُشاهد لأول مرة في التاريخ فيلماً وبلغتهم! وهكذا سمعوا لأول مرة في حياتهم رسالة حب الله لهم! وذرفت عيناي دموع الفرح لشعوري بأنني أول مَن يأتي لهم برسالة الإنجيل! لقد كان اختباراً لا يمكن التعبير عنه بالكلام!

احترقت لمبة إضاءة البروجكتور، فنظرتُ إلى "جيم جرين" وابتسم وقال: ”هل أنت مستعدٌّ أن تعظ“؟ ثم أخبر أحد المترجمين بأنني سأتكلَّم، ولكنني تساءلتُ عمَّا سأتكلَّم، فماذا يعرفون عن يسوع؟ والكتاب المقدس لم يسمعوا عنه قط! ثم وقفتُ مع المترجم في ضوء القمر الفضي وقلتُ:

”لقد جئتُ الليلة لأُخبركم عن إله الكون الأعظم وابنه يسوع المسيح. إنه هو الذي خلق هذا العالم مع الخضرة والحيوانات والمواشي. وهو أقوى كائن في الكون وهو حيٌّ إلى الأبد. وهو الآن له بيت عظيم فوق السماء ويعتني بكم وبنا. ويتساءل الناس دائماً عمَّا يكون شكل الله، وهل هو روح خيِّر أم شرير. ولم يتمكَّنوا من معرفة ذلك حتى قرر الله يوماً ما أن يُرسل ابنه إلى العالم لكي يُظهر للبشر ماذا يكون الله الحقيقي القوي، واسم ابنه هو يسوع. وهذا الفيلم هو عن يسوع ابن الله هذا، وفي ليلة أخرى سنعرضه لكم لتعرفوا قصة حياته“.

”وقد قال هذا الإله العظيم إن الناس الكاملين هم فقط الذين يمكنهم أن يعيشوا في السماء معه إلى الأبد. ولكننا نحن لسنا كاملين، فلا زلنا مثل الكائنات التي لا تفهم، ونريد أَخْذ ما يخص الآخرين، فنسرق المواشي والحِراب! ولكن يسوع يستطيع أن يُمكِّـنَّا من أن نعيش مع الله. وفي الغد سنشرح لكم كيف يمكن ليسوع أن يجعل الله يقبلنا رغم أننا فعلنا السيئات“.

وكانت هذه الكلمات بداية، ولكنني رأيتُ بعد ذلك كيف شرح الفيلم كلامي بأسرع وأوضح مما أمكنني أن أفعل. فقد قال أحد أفراد فرقتنا إنه سيذهب في الغد إلى "نيروبي" العاصمة لكي نحصل على ما ينقص الجهاز، ثم نحاول العرض مرة أخرى بحلول الظلام.

قررنا، جيم وأنا، أن نجد مكاناً ننام فيه، ولكننا وجدنا أنفسنا بين أيادي قوية عديدة، وواجهنا ثلاثة محاربين بوجوه متجهِّمة، فتساءلتُ: ماذا يحدث؟ وقد قرأ المترجم ما في ذهني، ولعلَّه رأى الذعر بادياً عليَّ فقال: ”إنهم يريدون منك أن ترقص معهم“؟ ثم أدخلنا في وسطهم وقال: ”حسناً، ابدأوا معهم، إنهم سيقفزون“! فاتخذنا طريقنا بين المواشي النائمة إلى حيث كان المحاربون يرقصون ويقرعون طبولاً مصنوعة من جذوع شجر مجوَّفة وجلود حيوانات. ولما وصلنا، جيم وأنا، أحاطوا بالموجودين وهم يتحركون على قرعات الطبول. وكان الرجال يقفزون وسط هذه الدائرة، وأنا كنتُ متعجِّباً من هذا المنظر. وكانوا يُشيرون لنا أن نشاركهم، فلما حاولنا أن نُجاريهم، ضحكوا على حركاتنا...

وبعد فترة انسحبنا، جيم وأنا، وظللنا نشاهد رقصهم. ولما اختفى المترجم، سألتُ جيم: ”هل تظن أننا في خطر هنا؟ أقصد هل يُحتمل أن يصبحوا عنفاء“؟ فقال: ”لستُ أظن ذلك. فمع أن الماساي هم من أعنف المحاربين في أفريقيا وبقية القبائل تخاف منهم، إلاَّ أنه في كل السنوات التي عشتها في نيروبي لم أسمع عن مُبشِّر سُمح له أن يدخل في معسكر المحاربين مثلنا“...

وسيلة لا تُصدَّق



لم يكن وجودنا في أفريقيا مصادفةً، ولم يكن فيلم يسوع مجرد ”اقتحام محظوظ“ للوثنيين في بلادهم، بل إنَّ ما كان يحدث في أرض الماساي كان يتكرر في العالم كله. فبينما كنا نعمل هناك على عرض الفيلم، كانت فرق أخرى تعرضه في 110 دولة، والعديد منهم كانوا يعرضونه لجماهير من قبائل لم يشاهدوا فيلماً قط في حياتهم. ففي جبال تايلاند شاهد آلاف من البوذيين حياة المسيح لأول مرة. وفي السلفادور سمع مُحاربو العصابات كلام ملك السلام عندما شاهدوا الفيلم على حائط مدهون باللون الأبيض. وفي الشرق الأوسط، كان شيوخ القبائل يخفضون من صوت أجهزة التليفزيون عندما يُشاهدون الفيلم باللغة العربية...



قبل كل عرض لفيلم ”يسوع“ كان هناك تدريب للخدَّام

الذين سيُتابعون الحياة الروحية لمشاهدي الفيلم

وكانت تقف وراء المشروع كله ـ من إنتاجه وتمويله حتى ترجمته وتوزيعه ـ ”الحملة لأجل المسيح“. ففي مدة العشرين سنة الماضية كان لي الشرف أن أكون أحد الذين يعملون مع روَّاد التبشير مثل ”جيم جرين“ و”ستيف دودوجيان“. ويوجد الآن أكثر من 16 ألف مُشارِك في هذا العمل في العالم، وقد برهنوا على أنهم هم مفتاح الانتشار السريع لفيلم يسوع.

وقد نَمَت الحملة لأجل المسيح وفاقت على خدمة الطلبة الدارسين منذ سنوات مضت، فطبيعتها وتكريسها لغرضٍ واحد هو التبشير بالإنجيل والتلمذة؛ أدَّى إلى امتدادٍ هائل للخدمة. وقد أصبح فيلم ”يسوع“ الآن أكثر وسيلة للتبشير والتلمذة تأثيراً في تاريخ هذه الحركة. لقد كان في علاقتي المبكِّرة بتلك الحملة هتافٌ كنَّا نردِّده: ”فُزْ بالحملة لأجل المسيح اليوم، واربح العالم غداً“. وقد استطعتُ أن أرى ذلك يحدث، ليس بواسطة خدمة الحملة وحدها؛ بل في كل مكان. فقد كان الطلبة من هيئات تبشيرية عديدة يقولون للصراع المادي الذي بلا طائل: ”تغاضى عن ذلك“، ويُقدِّمون حياتهم لتوصيل الرسالة المسيحية إلى حيث لم يذهب أحد من قبل. وفي الصيف التالي عرض آلاف من الطلبة من عشرات المنظمات والكنائس فيلم ”يسوع“ في قرى في أماكن عديدة من نهر الأمازون إلى معسكرات اللاجئين في أفريقيا.

Paul Harvey Comments on "The Passion" movie by Mel Gibson

I really did not know what to expect. I was thrilled to have been invited to a private viewing of Mel Gibson's film "The Passion," but I had also read all the cautious articles and spin. I grew up in a Jewish town and owe much of my own faith journey to the influence. I have a life long, deeply held aversion to anything that might even indirectly encourage any form of anti-Semitic thought, language or actions.

I arrived at the private viewing for "The Passion," held in Washington, DC and greeted some familiar faces. The environment was typically Washingtonian, with people greeting you with a smile but seeming to look beyond you, having an agenda beyond the words. The film was very briefly introduced, without fanfare, and then the room darkened. From the gripping opening scene in the Garden of Gethsemane, to the very human and tender portrayal of the earthly Ministry of Jesus, through the betrayal, the arrest, the scourging, the way of the cross, the encounter with the thieves, the surrender on the Cross, until the final scene in the empty tomb, this was not simply a movie; it was an encounter, unlike anything I have ever experienced.

In addition to being a masterpiece of film-making and an artistic triumph, "The Passion" evoked more deep reflection, sorrow and emotional reaction within me than anything since my wedding, my ordination or the birth of my children. Frankly, I will never be the same. When the film concluded, this "invitation only" gathering of "movers and shakers" in Washington, DC were shaking indeed, but this time from sobbing. I am not sure there was a dry eye in the place. The crowd that had been glad-handing before the film was now eerily silent. No one could speak because words were woefully inadequate. We had experienced a kind of art that is a rarity in life, the kind that makes heaven touch earth.

One scene in the film has now been forever etched in my mind. A brutalized, wounded Jesus was soon to fall again under the weight of the cross. His mother had made her way along the Via Della Rosa. As she ran to him, she flashed back to a memory of Jesus as a child, falling in the dirt road outside of their home. Just as she reached to protect him from the fall, she was now reaching to touch his wounded adult face. Jesus looked at her with intensely probing and passionately loving eyes (and at all of us through the screen) and said "Behold I make all things new." These are words taken from the last Book of the New Testament, the Book of Revelations. Suddenly, the purpose of the pain was so clear and the wounds, that earlier in the film had been to difficult to see in His face, His back, indeed all over His body, became intensely beautiful. They had been borne voluntarily for love.

At the end of the film, after we had all had a chance to recover, a question and answer period ensued. The unanimous praise for the film, from a rather diverse crowd, was as
astounding as the compliments were effusive. The questions included the one question that seems to follow this film, even though it has not yet even been released. "Why is this film considered by some to be 'anti-Semitic?" Frankly, having now experienced (you do not "view" this film) "the Passion" it is a question that is impossible to answer.

A law professor whom I admire sat in front of me. He raised his hand and responded "After watching this film, I do not understand how anyone can insinuate that it even remotely presents that the Jews killed Jesus. It doesn't." He continued "It made me realize that my sins killed Jesus" I agree. There is not a scintilla of anti-Semitism to be found anywhere in this powerful film. If there were, I would be among the first to de it. It faithfully tells the Gospel story in a dramatically beautiful, sensitive and profoundly engaging way. Those who are alleging otherwise have either not seen the film or have another agenda behind their protestations.

This is not a "Christian" film, in the sense that it will appeal only to those who identify themselves as followers of Jesus Christ. It is a deeply human, beautiful story that will deeply touch all men and women. It is a profound work of art. Yes, its producer is a Catholic Christian and thankfully has remained faithful to the Gospel text; if that is no
longer acceptable behavior then we are all in trouble. History demands that we remain faithful to the story and Christians have a right to tell it. After all, we believe that it is the greatest story ever told and that its message is for all men and women. The greatest right is the right to hear the truth.

We would all be well advised to remember that the Gospel narratives to which "The Passion" is so faithful were written by Jewish men who followed a Jewish Rabbi whose life and teaching have forever changed the history of the world. The problem is not the message but those who have distorted it and used it for hate rather than love. The solution is not to censor the message, but rather to promote the kind of of love that is Mel Gibson's filmmaking masterpiece, "The Passion." It should be seen by as many people as possible. I intend to do everything I can to make sure that is the case. I am passionate about "The Passion."

P.S. Mel Gibson stated he did not appear in his own movie, by his choice, with one exception: It is Gibson's hands seen nailing Jesus to the cross. Gibson said he wanted to do that because it was indeed his own hands that nailed Jesus to the cross (along with all of ours.)

لماذا؟

لان الغرض من الافلام الدينية ليس الحصول علي الاوسكار و لكن لتوصيل قصة حياة هذا القديس و جهاده للشعب ليستفيدوا منه , و ليس كفيلم عادي .......

اما وجود فيلم للسيد المسيح به اخطاء , فهذا يحدث بلبلة عند البسطاء مثلا : واحد بسيط شاف فيلم للسيد المسيح فيه فطيراو غيرة بدل القربان في مشهد العشاء الرباني , لبساطته قد يشك في الجسد الذي يقدم له , و قد يرفض تناوله لأنه ليس مثل الجسد الذي قدمه السيد المسيح للتلاميذ .و غيرها من المواقف

في الكنيسة كنت في مجموعة بنعمل شغل علي الكمبيوتر لحفلة عيد النيروز , رغم وجود الكثير من الافلام التي تجسد حياة السيد المسيح ,الا ان الاب الكاهن حدد لنا فيلم معين لناخذ منه المشاهد و لم يترك لنا حرية الاختيار .
