this is a link to a fatwa a fatwa issued( after previous London bombing) by the British Muslim Forum, with the approval of more than 500 UK Muslim clerics.

let's start with what these islamic sscholars and leaders tried to hide !!

take a look:

are you sure this is what this verse says ?

let's take a look on the verse from another source. here are three well known translations for this verse:


YUSUFALI: On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our messengers with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land.

PICKTHAL: For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth.

SHAKIR: For this reason did We prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is as though he kept alive all men; and certainly Our messengers came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land.





did you see the red part ?

It was all removed from the message of these scholars and islamic leaders !!

they actually changed the quranic verse !!

why ?

because it's the key to this verse.



let's take a look on what the commentary of Ibn Kathir says:


[مَن قَتَلَ نَفْساً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِى الاٌّرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً وَمَنْ أَحْيَـهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعاً]

(if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.) Saving life in this case occurs by not killing a soul that Allah has forbidden. So this is the meaning of saving the life of all mankind, for whoever forbids killing a soul without justification, the lives of all people will be saved from him.''





now, things are beginning to change, aren't they ?

now we have two issues:

1) who is the soul that allah has forbidden ? and does it mean all humen ?

2) there is justification to kill people. and those scholars didn't say that.

1) the soul that allah has forbidden:

Ibn Katheer goes on-

(it would be as if he killed all mankind. .) means, "Whoever kills one soul that Allah has forbidden killing, is just like he who kills all mankind.'' Sa`id bin Jubayr said, "He who allows himself to shed the blood of a Muslim, is like he who allows shedding the blood of all people. He who forbids shedding the blood of one Muslim, is like he who forbids shedding the blood of all people.''

so, seems like this verse talks about muslims !!!

it doesn't talk about any one else but muslims !!



2) the justification:

let's see what Al-Qurtubi says in his commentary-


أَنَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ

وَمَعْنَى " بِغَيْرِ نَفْس " أَيْ بِغَيْرِ أَنْ يَقْتُل نَفْسًا فَيَسْتَحِقّ الْقَتْل , وَقَدْ حَرَّمَ اللَّه الْقَتْل فِي جَمِيع الشَّرَائِع إِلَّا بِثَلَاثِ خِصَال : كُفْر بَعْد إِيمَان , أَوْ زِنًى بَعْد إِحْصَان , أَوْ قَتْل نَفْس ظُلْمًا وَتَعَدِّيًا .



he is saying that allah has forbidding killing except in 3 cases:

Shirk after believing (leaving the true belief ).

committing adultry after being married.

killing another person.



don't christians and jews fall under the catigory of shirk in this case ?!?!?!?!?!


أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ

أَيْ شِرْك , وَقِيلَ : قَطْع طَرِيق , وَقَرَأَ الْحَسَن : " أَوْ فَسَادًا " بِالنَّصْبِ عَلَى تَقْدِير حَذْف فِعْل يَدُلّ عَلَيْهِ أَوَّل الْكَلَام تَقْدِيره ; أَوْ أَحْدَثَ فَسَادًا ; وَالدَّلِيل عَلَيْهِ قَوْله : " مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْس " لِأَنَّهُ مِنْ أَعْظَم الْفَسَاد . وَقَرَأَ الْعَامَّة : " فَسَادٍ " بِالْجَرِّ عَلَى مَعْنَى أَوْ بِغَيْرِ فَسَاد .



he explains "corruption in the earth" and the first word that he says is "Shirk" !! not believing in allah !!

so in fact, according to this verse, they are allowed to kill everyone who isn't a muslim !!



and those islamic scholars and leaders tried to hide this by changing the verse before using it in their announcement !!

by removing a part of the verse !! the most important part of the verse !! the key to understanding the verse !!

so, it turns out that this verse talks only about killing a muslim !!

and that actually, according to this verse, they are allowed to kill those who don't believe in allah !!

i really agree and believe that there islamic scholars and leaders tried to twist the quranic verse by removing a part of it.
