فيما يترقب المصريون على المستويين الرسمي والشعبي نتائج التحقيق مع الشيخ القطري سعود بن سلمان آل ثاني والذي قتل بسيارته 6 مصريين وأصاب 15 آخرين، فوجئ سكان القاهرة بسباق جديد بين شيخين قطريين شابين انتهى بصدم مصري يدعى هشام سيد تم نقله إلى المستشفى.

وبينت مصادر أمنية أن أحد الشابين المتسببين في الحادث هو إبراهيم أحمد بن حسن آل ثاني ويدرس في أكاديمية النقل البحري بالإسكندرية.

في هذه الأثناء، حسب ما ذكرته صحيفة "الوطن" السعودية اللاحد 16-10-2005، أعلنت المصادر الطبية وفاة الطفل مصطفى دسوقي الذي صدمه شاب كويتي أثناء تسابقه بسيارته مع 4 كويتيين آخرين.

في حين تظاهر مئات المصريين للمطالبة بوقفة جادة مع الطلبة الكويتيين الذين أصابوا الطفل.

وكان سكان ضاحية المهندسين وبالتحديد في شارع شهاب، قد فوجئوا أثناء توجههم لصلاة الفجر أول من أمس بخمس سيارات تحمل أرقام الكويت وجمرك السويس قيادة الكويتيين: عبدالله مطر، وعلي مطر، ومحمد سلمان، وعبدالله العجمي، وعادل عقلة، ويتسابقون بها في شارع جامعة الدول العربية، وبعد لحظات صدمت إحدى السيارات الخمس الطفل مصطفى دسوقي (10 سنوات) أثناء توجهه لصلاة الفجر بالمسجد.

وعندما حاول السكان الإمساك بالسائق استل سلاحه الأبيض مهدداً إياهم بالقتل فأصاب حارس العقار 31 بشارع سوريا. أمام ذلك استخدم السكان الحجارة فحطموا السيارات الخمس واقتادوا سائقيها لقسم شرطة العجوزة

ويأتي ذلك في الوقت الذي ينتظر فيه المصريون على المستويين الرسمي والشعبي نتائج التحقيق مع الشيخ القطري سعود بن سلمان آل ثاني الذي قتل بسيارته 6 مصريين وأصاب 15 آخرين.

ووقع الحادث خلال سباق بين سيارتين نظمه مصري في 23 سبتمبر/ايلول وتحديدا قبيل منتصف الليل, على الطريق المؤدية الى مطار القاهرة.

وفقد السائق القطري السيطرة على سيارته فاقتحم حديقة وسط الشارع وقتل اربعة اشخاص فورا وجرح ثلاثين اخرين, وسرعان ما قضى لاحقا جريحان من هؤلاء

على صعيد اخر نشرت الصحف المصرية خبرا عن تظاهر عشرات من سكان ضاحية المهندسين أمام قسم العجوزة يوم الخميس الماضى للمطالبة بالقبض على خمسة كويتيين تسببوا فى مصرع طفل واصابة حارس عمارة أثناء تسابقهم فى شارع جامعة الدول العربية، وكان الشقيقان على وعبدالله مطر يقودان السيارتين ماركة تويوتا تحمل أرقام 12471 والسيارة ماركة شيفروليه وتحمل رقم 12028 جمرك السويس ترخيص رقم 124954 من الكويت الأحمدى وتسابقوا بشارع جامعة الدول العربية وبصحبتهم ثلاث فتيات وأربعة طلبة كويتيين فأصابوا الطفل مصطفى دسوقى الذى توفى بعد وصوله للمستشفي، وعندما طاردهم الأهالى حتى شارع سوريا وضيقوا عليهم الخناق حاول سيد محمود بواب العقار رقم 31 القبض عليهم فعاجلوه بضربة من سلاح أبيض سنجة وأصابوه بجرح قطعى فى الرأس طوله 26 سم ونجحت الشرطة فى القبض على الكويتيين قبل أن يفتك بهم الأهالي.
وتم اقتيادهم إلى قسم العجوزة وبعد ترحيلهم إلى النيابة قررت حبسهم أربعة أيام على ذمة التحقيق.. ومن ناحية أخرى اصطدمت سيارة ابراهيم حسن قطرى الجنسية طالب بأكاديمية النقل البحرى بأخرى ملاكى الجيزة وثالثة هيئة دبلوماسية فى شارع شهاب وترك الجناة السيارة بعرض الشارع بعد اصابة سائق الملاكى بنزيف شديد ونجحوا فى الهرب بعيدا عن موقع الحادث

There seems to be a failure to understand that this is CAPITAL PUNISHMENT and yes it is GRUESOME which is the whole point of having a punishment like this and that is to deter people from committing such crimes

that's BS. the people who executed the convicted did not create him and therefore have no right whatsoever to take away his life. and the proof of the failure of your reasoning is that these executions did not prevent murderers and rapers from existing in Saudi Arabia or any other Islamic country. Furthermore, developed western coutries that do not apply those barbarian executions never felt the need to adopt the, simply because locking the convicted people in prison for a lifetime is enough to cause other criminals to think twice before commiting a crime.

What you are telling me is that you do not support the death penalty and that is something I can respect you are entitled to your opinion
also as far as it being used as a deterrent, yes your point is well taken in the sense that it might not prevent crimes from hapenning, however it costs a LOT LESS than locking somebody up.

You seem to have completely missed my point. I never suggested that EXECUTING people is better than locking them up in prison or that we should execute people to solve the problem of over population. I will try to qualify my statement in way you can understand.
Criminals who do not value the lives of others do not deserve to have my tax money spent on them. I'll give you an example Paul Bernardo. This guy is one of Canada's worst Serial Killers and rapists and it is clear that he DID NOT value the lives of his victims, Now he has to spend the rest of his life in jail. Why should my tax money go twards feeding and sheltering a serial killer? do you get mey point? also regarding your point about how the west feels about the death penalty, you are correct no european country has the death penalty and neither does Canada
However some states do have the death Penalty and it is also supported Fedrally - Just look at how Timothy McVeigh was executed. There is no doubt in my mind that the US Government did the right thing by executing him. I can't wait till you tell me that it would have been better to just lock him up. If any of your loved ones were there in the Oklahoma building would you be satisfied by just having him locked up. I hope I was clear.

[SIZE=5][COLOR=Red]I believe you're the one who have missed the whole point. Locking up people in prison is not sponsored by your tax money. Those people are not locked in 5-stars hotels. They are locked up in prison where they work and produce things that could be sold to benefit the prison. And part of that money is used to feed the prisoner and clean his/her cell.
What is sponsored by tax money in the Middle East right now are the Qoran competitions and the Haj trips to Saudi Arabia, not to mention the anti-Christian media programs.
Don't try to convince me that your point of view is shared by MANY Americans and Canadians. I've lived in both countries and that's not true.
Now, would it be hard for me to see the killer of my family locked in prison instead of executed? Probably. However, that's the power of CHRISTIANITY. It's a religion that is all about forgiveness. When our Lord was being executed on the Holy Cross, He asked for forgiveness of those who were killing Him. Same thing happened with St Steven and many martyrs.
That's why we're Christians.

[SIZE=5]للأسف يا غلباوى فقد سقطت من نظرى بعد كلامك ده. فعلا انها مصيبة ما فعله هواة لمدة ساعتين او اقل فى مكان مغلق منذ عامين يدافعون فيها عن عقيدتهم ضد المتطرفين الحثالة المترصدين لهم و ليست مصيبة ما يفعله شيوخك السفلة على مدار 30 عام كاملة من تهكم و ازدراء للمسيحية علنا و الاعلام المقروء و المرئى و المسموع الذى يقوده مجموعة من القوادين الذى يتطاول على المسيحية عشرات المرات كل يوم و كل ساعة فده شئ عادى جدا بالنسبة لكم .

To Suggest that MANY American and Canadians do not support the death penalty because of your experience in both countries is Antecdotal at best and misleading at worst.
There is a big move here for tougher penalties since our legal System here is a joke, but I highly doubt that the death penalty would be reinstated. I also hear from a lot of the Canadian consevatives the phrase "An eye for an eye" which is taken from the bible I beleive.
And I will enjoy Halloween too I am going trick or treating with my wife and daughter, Can you say Dentist bill$ , damn
