RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- Saudi religious police discovered a makeshift church set up by ten Filipino nationals in an apartment in Riyadh, in violation of the law.
An official source said Thursday that Bibles and other religious books as well as Christian symbols, a loudspeaker and a podium were discovered in the apartment-turned-church.
Saudi Arabia, home of Islam's two holiest shrines, Mecca and Medina, bans the construction of churches on its territory.
