Why all this headache?
You can simply download a software called: callwave, just go to download.com or callwave.com and download it, u do not need to have caller id anyways. u just download it and u connect it to ur phone bill, it's very cheap about 2.49 dollars a month with the phone bill and it also works as answering machine.
